It is said that we were made in the image and likeness of God, and whoever He is or whatever He has, we also have. However, why is it that our human hearts do not resemble that of God’s? Once rejected, human heart would tend to dissipate and lose its strength to carry on. Obstacles do not make it strong—but makes it fear more. Rejection and dismissal would weaken it. Our heart and our spirit is that faint that a little difficulty can easily make it wane.
Many of us, due to shame and fear, would prefer to turn our backs on God because we are afraid that He might not accept us. And that is a misconception we must not allow to feed on our minds. That is a belief brought about by our experiences.
Too often, when we err, the people we love would also turn their backs on us and walk out of our lives. People around us would create hearsays that would ruin us. When we are down, no one would even care. We are left on our own.
But, you should know now that God doesn’t love that way. His heart isn’t like ours. Without end, He loves us. Without tire, He pursues us and calls us to love him and be His child. God’s love is that unconditional that even when we close our ears off to Him, or push him away over and over again—He would unceasingly love, pursue, and call us. And though it breaks His heart to see us veering away from the life he had designed and envisioned for us, he never tries to force Himself and what he wanted for us to us. Yes, He could just rearrange the entire spectrum of the universe so that He can make us change our hearts and have it as His; but He does not do that. Rather, He wants us to give it out of our own free will. He wants a love that He doesn’t need to buy—but a love that we are willing to give back to Him.

Without conditions, prejudices, biases, walls, and without end… He loves us and forgives us. And He is willing to do that over and over again. (It’s just so amazing, right?!
And
you know what; it feels really great to be loved that way. To be loved
without conditions, to be loved without tire, to be pursued over and
over again. It is a love that fascinates me. Amazes me. Makes me
question. It keeps me wondering about How could someone as perfect and
as great as He is be able to love someone as imperfect as I am? Am I
even worthy of the love He gives me? Am I even worthy of everything He
has given me? I am not. I am unclean, unworthy, sinful—yet, He does love
me. And He is willing to welcome me back like a father who had been
waiting for his child to come back.
The more I get to understand and know what God’s love is and how He loves me, the more I get to learn how it is to truly love others, too. :)
