On Stuttering Beginnings: 1 down, 29 more to go!

Bucket List
After waking up from an overdrawn hypnosis caused by an unexpected love bug, I've finally reunited with my long overdue Bucket List.

It was a list I've started on after being hit by an "inspiration" bug that was brought about by Celine's 30 before 30 list. Her feat of doing it all in less than 2 years was truly admirable and jaw-dropping, that I kept on prodding myself, that I too, can do it!

Well, silly of me! Had I only known...

Starting on a bucket list was a tough job. Bucket lists entail deadlines, and gahhd, how I hate deadlines. It entails responsibility, time, and dedication; things I'm doubting I could fully give at this time. Afflicted with short attention span, it is very natural for me to hop on several wagons at the same time and forgetting what I was supposed to be doing. Although, when I am really into a certain thing, I tend to waste ALL my time and effort just to finish and perfect it up the way I wanted it to be. Yes. OC-ness to the nth level!

There were moments wherein I was making a rough draft of ALL the things I wanted to do and stopping myself because it has reached more than a hundred. Times when I have to search the Web whether or not that dream is really attainable and where to do it. Seconds when my neurons were buzzing with so many ideas, only to have them all unwritten because I was too engrossed with my food (Uh yeah. food). There were also times when doubt, fear, and hesitation crept in-- giving me second thoughts on whether or not a certain goal was really achievable.

And just when I was about to drop it all off- a light bulb flickered and I realized, "If I would dream, I might as well dream big! Besides, it is free!" Or so I thought... hahaha! For sadly, my dreams don't come cheap. :DD

To know what these goals are, here's the link for my bucket list aka The Trenta List.

One Goal Down!!

Anyway, here is a post detailing about how I conquered one of my 30 goals; and that was to do a storytelling session for 10 children. Unbeknownst to me, the gods don't want me to just settle for 10; instead they brought together an entire community of the Matigsalob tribe.

Matigsalob Storytelling Session

Armed with a storybook about the Crow and the Eagle (Ang Uwak at Ang Agila) which was written in English with a Tagalog translation; I have to fumble along the way on how to relay it in Bisaya so that the kids will understand. Thankfully, the gods must have heard my woes, for my audience were still participative amidst my apparent lack of brevity and fluency in the vernacular language.

Here's my post on my impromptu storytelling. {click click!}
