Waiting for God's Best

Posted by Unknown with No comments
Everyone longs to give themselves completely to someone, to have a deep relationship with another, to be loved thoroughly and exclusively.

But to His child, the Lord says:

No, not until you are satisfied, fulfilled, and content with being loved by Me; with giving yourself totally and unreservedly to Me to have an intensely personal relationship with Me alone, discovering that only in Me is your satisfaction to be found-- Only then will you be capable of the most perfect relationship that I have planned for you."

What True Love Is

without a doubt…
HE is just TOO GOOD FOR ME;
HE is the BEST for me,
while I am the WORST for HIM.

...but he doesn’t mind.

He knows everything there is to know about me–
the good, the bad, the fun, the boring, etc.

He knows all my deepest, darkest, vilest secrets; I’ve shown and told him everything. Without pretensions, I let him in on who I am.

On Looking Inwards

We all are wondering about the reasons why we live. Our conception in itself is already a miracle. We ask why among the thousands of tiny sperm cells that were racing with each other towards the mother cell— we were the ones who were tough enough to make it through to become the persons that we are right now?

There really must be some reason, a very important reason, on why we are here; born on the day that we are born, born to the parents that we have known, and living at a world where we have grown.

Born Incomplete, but Living Life Completely

For me, disability is a way of getting some extremity, some kind of very difficult situation, that throws an interesting light on people. Mark Haddon
...

Youtube paved the way for me to meet this giant of a man. Born without limbs and only half a body; living itself is a miracle for him. He has trotted all over the globe trying to educate people, from all walks of life, with the importance of optimism, courage, and self-acceptance; so they would be able to fully utilize and enjoy all the gifts that life can offer. Amidst his disability, he was able to inspire thousands or even millions with his fire, passion, and zeal to share to the world how much precious we all are—limbless or not. He is no other than, miracle man, Nick Vujicic.

What Truly Matters

Remember, God doesn’t call the equipped, He equips the called. And He’ll always be there to love and guide you on to great things. Life is more accurately measured by the lives you touch than the things you acquire.

A realization that I bumped while I was browsing the web. Lately, I have been too caught up with so many things I wanted to achieve and do in my life that in the end, I fail to see and feel God’s presence in my life.

I was too caught up with my worldly wants that I lost track of the reason on why I do the things I do. I know I wanted to explore the world in its entirety, I want to capture it with my words. I want to be able to make others aware about the disparity and injustice that the marginalized and discriminated have to face each day in their lives.

How He Loves Us

It is said that we were made in the image and likeness of God, and whoever He is or whatever He has, we also have. However, why is it that our human hearts do not resemble that of God’s?

Once rejected, human heart would tend to dissipate and lose its strength to carry on. Obstacles do not make it strong—but makes it fear more. Rejection and dismissal would weaken it. Our heart and our spirit is that faint that a little difficulty can easily make it wane.

Being Before Doing

Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth.--Psalm 46:10

Filling our lives with activity and busyness puts us in dangerous territory.  Aside from making us emotionally frazzled and physically exhausted, it’s also threatening to make us both intellectually and spiritually deficient.

Something To Think About...

YOUR CHILD'S IDENTITY

Ephesians 6:4
Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger; but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord

It's all too easy for children to find their identity wrapped up in external values like performance and appearance. Why? Largely because those are the values their parents and teachers glorify and reinforce. Children are applauded if they're cute, if they say funny things, or if they hit home runs. Thanks to the adults in their lives, it doesn't take long for children to internalize and begin to live by three pervasive principles.
