Dollops of Reality. ;)

It is difficult to realize, that no matter what you do, there are some things you cannot do or change....
    • You cannot tell others what’s wrong with them, because in the end, they will always believe that they know themselves better. That they are right, and you are wrong.
    • You cannot please everyone. Some people will always find reasons to criticize you or the things you do.
    • If they can’t be there for you, then take solace in yourself.
    • If they can’t appreciate you, then learn how to appreciate and praise yourself. You know what you are capable of, they don’t.
    • If they can’t understand you, then don’t explain. They don’t know your story, it’s their loss why they never tried to look deeper or tried to understand where you are coming from.
    • If they are not pleased with you, just take comfort in knowing, that trying to please everyone won’t lead you to success.
    • If they’re not satisfied with what you can give, then give to those who do not take you for granted. And if they can’t accept you for who you are, then maybe its time to let go and go with people who can.
    • You cannot make people appreciate you or recognize your achievements. You just have to applaud yourself.
    • You cannot rely on people to be with you on certain days. They might not be in the mood or they might be busy with something else.
    • You cannot make others support you. You have to support yourself for they also have their own problems to deal with.
    • It is difficult to hope on something, yet end up disappointed. In the end, you just have to rely on yourself. Know your worth and give worth that is due to it. Because in the end, you are left with yourself. If others can’t give you what you need... then start giving it to yourself.
Always remember: Your family, friends, and loved-ones will always be there for you, come what may, no matter what. No reasons. No conditions. No questions. ;)
