Rediscovering the Joy of Watching Cartoons

Posted by Unknown with 4 comments
For the past months since 2nd semester has started, I remember doing nothing but watching cartoons while making my way out of heaps and tons of schoolwork.

Well, except for those instances wherein I have to be deployed in several areas in Davao Oriental (Cateel, Baganga, Mati, Surigao del Sur) etc., for data gathering and research for my subjects; most of my time was spent with my brother, watching reruns of cartoons and kids’ shows

My current favorites: Phineas and Ferb, Adventure Time, The Amazing World of Gumball, and Fairly Odd Parents. Oh, and did I mention I also love iCarly, Victorious, and Big Time Rush--- these shows, ugh, they make my days complete!

Complete with songs that make me all jumpy and giddy, superbly crazy characters, and plots that are just weirdly random… these shows just got me hooked; that I’d rather stay at home watching them, than fighting my way through traffic and the stress of commuting, plus, spending a month’s worth of savings and earnings for a cup of coffee or pastry, just so I could get out of the house and have an awesome time.

While I’m finishing heaps and tons of paperworks, I’m also out in the couch, camping out, while watching episodes of these shows. They’re the perfect escape to get me out of my data-filled, statistics-bombarded brain and balance it out so I wouldn’t fall deeper into the folds of insanity and depression.

Moreover, they gave me just the right amount of time to get through all my assignments and projects while also spending more fun times with my brother and my parents. Just the right mix to get me going through all the craziness that academics has gotten me into. I just hope all this would soon be finished. Can’t wait for the part wherein I’d get my diploma, pass the SW Board exam, and get an awesome and stable job that would fund all my whims, caprices , and travel plans, and at the same time make me really happy and fulfilled.

&& That’s the story of how I spent my second semester. Pretty boring, eh?! Nevertheless, I had fun! Can’t wait to watch new episodes of these shows!
PS: I think I’m slowly becoming an anti-social. So, this summer, it is time to reconnect with real people-- not cartoon characters. Hahaha! :D Plus, I’m still wondering how the heck did Jake the dog impregnate Lee Rainicorn? Is that even possible??
